“What Phil has been able to achieve not only with the participants he helps, but in developing so many high quality community facilities, is just outstanding,” Mr Vaile said.

“Many board walks, lookouts, community hall fit outs and the fencing to Oxley Oval to name a few, are just some examples of what great work has been done through this program.”

Timbertown’s railway station has been completely renovated with a new timber platform deck and picket fences while existing structures have been repainted. A number of bushwalks have also been created to accommodate bush theatre.

The project was undertaken in a collaborative approach between Port Macquarie Chamber of Commerce, Wesley Uniting Employment and Port Macquarie-Hastings Council.
